His return to Australia in 2019 to head R&D efforts highlights his significant role in the company's technological advancements.

Shaun, a Metallurgist with over 35 years of experience in resource and manufacturing sectors, especially in solar salt production, is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. In the past decade, he has focused on organizational controls, management systems, and regulatory compliance.

Van-Tri Luong, PhD
Process Engineer
Tri has been with EcoMag since 2016, specializing in magnesium recovery from solar salt bitterns and subterranean brines. He previously worked on recovering various metals and rare earth elements and, since 2021, has been a postdoctoral research fellow, collaborating with UNSW Sydney to streamline the production of high-purity magnesium organic salts and chelates.
