Dr. Tam Tran, PhD

Tam Tran's extensive background with over 35 years of experience in minerals process engineering and his leadership in R&D positions him as a valuable asset for EcoMag. His experience spans working with BHP Research, academia, and key mineral development projects in Asia, providing a strong foundation for driving process improvements and product innovations at EcoMag. His return to Australia in 2019 to head R&D efforts highlights his significant role in the company's technological advancements.
Van-Tri Luong, PhD
Process Engineer
Tri has been with EcoMag since 2016, specializing in magnesium recovery from solar salt bitterns and subterranean brines. He previously worked on recovering various metals and rare earth elements and, since 2021, has been a postdoctoral research fellow, collaborating with UNSW Sydney to streamline the production of high-purity magnesium organic salts and chelates.

I am particularly experienced in sectors such as magnesia, salt, refractories, pulp & paper, food, and agriculture. My strength lies in connecting companies, products, and applications to develop practical commercial solutions.
Brian Daniel Goswell
FEED Engineer
Brian is a Sydney-based chemical engineer and self-employed engineering consultant with over 45 years of professional experience. He has worked across Australia, Europe, Russia, Asia, China, the USA, and Africa. His expertise covers FEED studies, detailed design, project management, construction supervision, and commissioning of complex process plants. Industries include minerals processing, oil and gas, chemicals, and sugar refining.
He has specialist experience in evaporators, crystallisers, air-cooled condensers, waste gas treatment, and metallurgical recovery plants. Mr Goswell held senior roles at Jord International and Jord Engineers including Design Manager and Group Operations Manager. Earlier positions in South Africa and the United Kingdom included Production Manager and Senior Process Engineer. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Surrey and has been a Chartered Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer.
